Auburn Leather Company started in 1863 "6" generations of leather craftsmen, with over 146 years of manufacturing premium leather goods for various world industries. From horse equipment, motorcycle bags, leather shoe/boot lacings, and leather accessories. Auburn Leather Company began manufacturing leather motorcycle saddlebags and accessories in 1988. Auburn Leather is made in the USA right there in Auburn, Kentucky. Auburn Leather use only the best cuts of the leather from the cow which is why it's called premium leather. The bags are made of full grain (one piece) leather and not split into pieces (split grain). The bags are drum dyed. Instead of spray painting only the outer layer of the leather to add color, the leather is soaked in giant vats so that all the leather takes on the color of the bags. Auburn saddlebags and leather products will not fade crack or peel and why they look as good in three years as they do the first day you put them on your bike provided you care for them with good leather care products.
